OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss played shorthanded on defense in its 48-43 loss to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, and it should only continue to pose a challenge for the Rebels moving forward.
Against the Crimson Tide, defensive ends Fadol Brown and Victor Evans, linebacker Shawn Curtis, and cornerback Ken Webster were all some of the players who did not play due to injury.
But Freeze wasn’t using it as an excuse, either.
“We’ve got a lot of young kids in a lot of areas and we’re excited about getting back out there and hope we can get a few guys healthy, especially on defense,” Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said.
