Hugh Freeze’s foundation will go on a hiatus following a scandal that led to his recent resignation as the head coach at Ole Miss.
Freeze Foundation executive director Alice Blackmon told USA TODAY on Tuesday that it will stop fundraising for the time being and reassess its future at the end of the year. The foundation’s website and Twitter account also have been removed.
Freeze stepped down as Ole Miss coach last Thursday after the school discovered a “pattern of misconduct” while reviewing his phone records on his university-issued phone.
