Among the issues bothering Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze during the Rebels’ recent losing streak: Early exits at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. He’s noticed them. And he’s concerned.
Freeze discussed the empty seats at his weekly news conference Monday, leading up to the Rebels’ Saturday matchup against Georgia Southern in Oxford.
The coach said he noticed visible sections of empty seats while emerging from halftime of last Saturday’s 40-29 loss to Auburn.
“I hope the student body that does choose to leave early will reconsider because we need them,” Freeze said. “Let’s do this together.”
Ole Miss fans have endured a disappointing season thus far in 2016.
