Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze delivered good news on the injury front about several of his Rebels regulars before Saturday’s crucial game at LSU.
Defensive tackle D.J. Jones and defensive end Fadol Brown likely will return to action against the Tigers in Baton Rouge, Freeze announced at his weekly news conference.
Jones didn’t play during the second half of Saturday’s 34-30 loss to Arkansas because of an elbow injury. Freeze said that an MRI showed that the injury was only a bruise, and that Jones is expected to return to full speed in practice this week.
A big addition would be Brown, a senior who had a team-high 10 quarterback hurries in 2015 but has been limited to only two games this season.
