The NCAA banned satellite camps last Friday, and Freeze said he was fine with the ruling, saying, “I’m away from my family enough, and I just did not want to go. I was ready to. We would’ve jumped in with the rest of them and gone to work.”
That relatively innocuous statement drew the ire of Harbaugh and Greenberg. But Freeze was unapologetic for wanting to spend time at home.
“I probably should’ve said that a little differently, but I’ll never apologize for wanting to be a father and a husband,” Freeze said on Wednesday morning’s “Mike & Mike in the Morning” show on ESPN Radio, as per mlive.
