Ole Miss faces a lot of uncertainty about its future, but the Rebels have at least one piece lined up for the 2019 recruiting class.
Three-star defensive end Jamond Gordon committed to the Rebels on Tuesday night, announcing his decision on Twitter.
Gordon (6 feet 4, 265 pounds) attends Meridian (Miss.) High, about 140 miles southeast of Oxford. He selected the Rebels over offers from Tennessee and Southern Miss. He is considered one of the nation’s top 50 weakside ends for the 2019 class.
Gordon committed to the Rebels even though it is far from clear who will be coaching the program by the time he enrolls.
