After Starkville suffered its first loss since last season’s opener, four-star Ole Miss commit and U.S. Army All-American Willie Gay wasn’t able to get his team back on the winning track against Northwest Rankin. But it wasn’t due to the No. 9 outside linebacker in the country not doing his part. The state’s No. 3 prospect had 10 tackles in the game.
Willie did his best to keep the Yellowjackets in it, but the SHS offense struggled to put up points. Gay will be counted on big-time once he arrives in Oxford due to the inconsistencies in the Rebels’ linebacker recruiting.
