Birmingham, AL -- Four student-athletes from the Southeastern Conference are among the 10 finalists selected for the 2016 Schutt Sports / NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year award, announced by the Association on May 12.
The award will be presented to the winner prior to the 2016 NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The finalists from the SEC include Kelly Barnhill and Amanda Lorenz from Florida, Hailey Lunderman from Ole Miss and Keeli Milligan from Texas A&M.
The top three finalists will be voted on and released on Wednesday, May 25.
