Frankly speaking: There’s hope for SEC quarterbacks

After watching the U. S. Army All-American Bowl all-star game, I’m convinced SEC quarterbacking is in good shape moving forward.

Three SEC-bound quarterbacks – Jacob Eason (headed to Georgia), Feleipe Franks (Florida) and Shea Patterson (Ole Miss) — played in the game. All three look as if they have skill sets that have coordinators salivating.

Patterson (6-of-9, 90 yards, two TDs, no picks) had the best stats of the day. Eason’s weren’t bad (6-of-13, 71 yards and a pick). Franks’ numbers were awful (1-of-7 for 8 yards and two picks). But forget the numbers: If you watched you saw good size, smooth throwing motions, big arms, good touch.
