The 1992 Egg Bowl is one of the more memorable games I’ve covered in the series. It was the second Egg Bowl I’d covered, the first time I’d visited the Ole Miss campus.
When a touchdown and extra point would have tied the game the Mississippi State offense, under quarterbacks Greg Plump and Todd Jordan, who I occasionally run into doing radio shows or on the streets of Tupelo, ran 11 plays inside the Ole Miss 10 over the last 4 minutes but could not score.
