The Rebels' QB was looking like a true Heisman contender early on in the season.
However, following two bad games, an almost-upset vs. Washington State, and a loss against Georgia, Chambliss all but vanished from the Top 5 Heisman Trophy contenders list.
Instead, Indiana's Fernendo Mendoza and Alabama's Ty Simpson became the two top names for Heisman entering Week 10.

Despite Week 10 Top 5 Heisman rankings saying something else, Florida legend Steve Spurrier felt Kiffin's QB still stands strong in the Heisman race, and could very well bring home the coveted trophy.
