Today, we start a seven-part SEC West series where we go beyond the recruiting numbers to explain about the evaluation process, what that entails and how big a gap there is between Alabama and the rest of the division.
Part One is on SEC West defensive backs. The average number of defensive backs on an SEC roster is 15 (holdovers from last season, plus those who just signed), and while there isn’t much difference at all in terms of the “average” SEC defensive back’s size, there is a stark difference between the top-end players and most of the DBs in the league, said Demetric Warren, who will be our “guide” through this process.
