Evan Engram is but one of a handful of former Ole Miss Rebels attending this week’s NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and on Friday he performed the bench press workout at the world’s worst job interview. Engram completed 19 reps of the 225 lbs. bench press rep test, the eighth-highest performance of the day (Nebraska’s Cethan Carter also scored 19).
Nothing about this should be all that noteworthy, of course, but for the fact that non-NFL personnel (read: football fans) were admitted to watch the event. NFL scouts and staffs are by nature very cagey people, so they were predictably not pleased with having to share the space with hoi polloi.
