In responding to the NCAA‘s notice of allegations related to rules violations within its athletic department, Ole Miss suggested the following penalties for its football program:
- Disassociation of one organization and four individuals for at least three years
- Additional rules education for involved staff
- Recruiting suspension for two assistant coaches
- Reductions of overall scholarships and grant in aid (11 over four years)
- Reductions of recruiting evaluation opportunities, initial and unofficial visits
- Monetary fine of $159,325
- Three-year probation
Those penalties may not satisfy the NCAA, ESPN SEC reporter Chris Low said on Wednesday’s “Paul Finebaum Show.
