ESPN’s Low: Ole Miss sanctions could include postseason ban

In responding to the NCAA‘s notice of allegations related to rules violations within its athletic department, Ole Miss suggested the following penalties for its football program:

  • Disassociation of one organization and four individuals for at least three years
  • Additional rules education for involved staff
  • Recruiting suspension for two assistant coaches
  • Reductions of overall scholarships and grant in aid (11 over four years)
  • Reductions of recruiting evaluation opportunities, initial and unofficial visits
  • Monetary fine of $159,325
  • Three-year probation

Those penalties may not satisfy the NCAA, ESPN SEC reporter Chris Low said on Wednesday’s “Paul Finebaum Show.
