Drew Pomeranz was one of the best pitchers to come through Ole Miss, and now he is playing in the All-Star game.
Pomeranz was named to the All-Star game after Mets starter Noah Syndergaard sustained an arm injury. Pomeranz joined his teammate Wil Myers in the All-Star game, which was hosted in San Diego.
Pomeranz is the center of a lot of trade talk lately. Earlier today it was reported that the Texas Rangers were looking at trading for Pomeranz to help bolster their starting rotation. This trade would put Drew right into the race for the World Series, as the Rangers are currently 1st in their division.
