With less than five minutes left in the first half Monday night in Orlando, Ole Miss led preseason top-five Florida State 28-6. The Rebels were clicking on all cylinders, offensively and defensively, and senior quarterback Chad Kelly was picking the Seminoles’ secondary apart. The Rebels had rolled up 312 yards of offense and looked unstoppable.
Then came the pivotal drive in the game, with FSU moving 75 yards in nine plays; the drive lasted 2:36 and ended with a TD pass on a third-and 10 from the 16 that made it 28-13. FSU also overcame a first-and-25 and a second-and-16 earlier in the drive.
