Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly held himself responsible for the Rebels’ 48-43 loss to No. 1 Alabama on Saturday.
Though, he finished the game with 421 yards and three touchdowns, and even tied a school record held by Eli Manning, Kelly also had both a fumble and interception returned for scores.
“I’ve got to correct the mistakes, you have to protect the ball,” Kelly said. “I have to throw the ball away more and I didn’t do that today.”
Kelly’s turnovers, both of which came in the second half, were a part of Alabama’s 45-6 scoring run, which saw the Crimson Tide go from a 24-3 deficit to a 48-30 lead.
