Kelly had missed at least one practice earlier this spring with what was called a groin injury.
Ole Miss’ spring drills conclude Saturday; there is no spring game because of the renovations at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Kelly is expected to be 100 percent when fall camp opens in early August.

Kelly had the surgery last week. His absence means redshirt freshman Jason Pellerin and true freshman Shea Patterson – a five-star recruit who enrolled in January – presumably will split reps with the first-team offense in the final week of spring drills.
