After an injury forced him to curtail his throwing session at Ole Miss pro day, Chad Kelly told reporters that it was “just a strained wrist” and that he expected to be back out throwing for NFL scouts within “a week or two.”
It turns out the damage is more severe than anticipated. Kelly won’t be able to throw for three months after going under the knife to repair “an acute rupture ligament between two bones in his wrist,” his agent told USA Today. Kelly is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for NFL training camp.
