Facing a must-win game, Ole Miss took the fight to visiting Georgia and never gave the visitors a chance to make it interesting.
And for the Rebels, it might just prove to be a turning point in its season.
Ole Miss opened a 45-0 lead midway through the third quarter and physically dominated Georgia throughout the entire game. Neither had coach Hugh Freeze, apparently.
“We just beat a top-15 team pretty soundly. It was a good day for us,” Freeze said. “We made some changes at linebacker and (defensive coordinator) Dave (Wommack) had a great plan.
