The favorite son of Ole Miss, also the man behind the hiring of head football coach Hugh Freeze, has spoken in regards to the recent NCAA allegations. Archie Manning, a Drew, MS native, told Parrish Alford of the NE Miss Daily Journal he knows the integrity of Freeze in an article today.
“There is always jealousy involved when you have such success. People say, ‘You’re doing this, doing that.’ You almost say it comes with the territory,” Manning told Alford.
David Brandt, of the Associated Press, reported this week, linked here, the NCAA alleged 28 violations occurred at Ole Miss, with 13 involving football.
