Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Anthony Alford will undergo further testing in the hospital Saturday after he suffered a neck injury in an outfield collision during a game Friday.
Alford, an outfielder for the Class A Dunedin Blue Jays, collided with shortstop Richard Urena while racing in to catch a fly ball in shallow center field that had been ruled an infield fly.
After lying on the ground for about 15 minutes, Alford was removed from the field on a stretcher and taken to Mease Dunedin Hospital, where he is talking and moving his limbs.
