It’s hard not to lament the ones who got away in recruiting. But sometimes it’s good to celebrate the “losses.”
Alabama and Ole Miss should feel that way after watching the Jeffery Simmons saga unfold – fortunately – from afar. Losing a five-star prospect never felt so good.
Simmons was allowed to enroll at Mississippi State on Thursday. Forget for a moment about State allowing Simmons to be an SEC football player; we’ll get back to that in a moment. Instead, think about Alabama and Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide made a late push to land Simmons.
