Four-star wide receiver Jonathan Mingo of Brandon, Miss. has now made his verbal pledge to the Rebels public and joins the the #MississippiMade movement in the 2019 recruiting class, choosing the Rebels over Georgia.
The Brandon High School star picked the good guys over offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Memphis, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, and Oregon among others. It is still rather early in the recruiting cycle and I would imagine Mingo will be adding several more Power 5 offers once camp season has concluded.
The nation’s No. 27 safety played both ways for Brandon as a junior, but he will be playing receiver in Oxford, especially after he showed tremendous potential for the Bulldogs as a junior, collecting 266 yards and three touchdowns on just 26 receptions, and absolutely blowing up at every single camp he’s been at this circuit.
