Three things to watch for with Ole Miss as the Rebels play Saturday night at Vanderbilt.
Shea Patterson’s protection
Patterson rallied Ole Miss from a 21-6 halftime deficit and threw for 338 yards in last week’s 29-28 win at Texas A&M. The biggest question is who will protect him. Guard Javon Patterson has moved to center because of injuries to Robert Conyers and Sean Rawlings. Also questionable is guard Rod Taylor. Vanderbilt’s defense has been a bright spot this season. Coach Hugh Freeze said that Conyers and Rawlings could go if needed but would like to rely on Deronte Bouldin at right guard and Jordan Sims at left guard.
