After winning the Egg Bowl, planting their flag at midfield, Jason Jones and Wesley McGriff got busy redefining the secondary and trying to piece together the defense that, despite playing well in spots, was exposed all year long.
But, now with the signing of three-star cornerback Keidron Smith, the secondary is getting some size and some length to help.
Smith, a cornerback from West Palm Beach, Fla., is another early signee for Ole Miss and the first from the Sunshine State. Before signing today, he held offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Baylor, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
