Birmingham, Ala. - The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. The 13th annual women's soccer Community Service Team follows:
Maddy Anzelc, Midfielder, Alabama
During her time at the Capstone, senior midfielder Maddy Anzelc has spent countless hours volunteering and helping those in need in the local community. Every year, Anzelc has participated in soccer clinics around Tuscaloosa, spearheaded efforts for Project Angel Tree, which collects presents for children whose parents are incarcerated during the holiday season, and has set up soccer stations and handed out candy at the annual Halloween Extravaganza.
