Wild's Matt Cooke misses practice after winning job

One day after unofficially winning the five-man competition for the last forward spot in the Wild's Game 1 lineup, Matt Cooke missed practice Tuesday with an injury that coach Mike Yeo said is unrelated to Feb. 6 sports hernia surgery.

The undisclosed injury -- termed, "some discomfort" -- could keep Cooke out of Game 1 of the playoffs Thursday in St. Louis.

It's another setback in a season full of them for Cooke, even if it's a minor one.

After practice Monday, Yeo said it was "likely" Cooke would play in Game 1. On Tuesday, he downgraded the left wing to a "possibility.
