Sometimes being in the prediction business is tough. As you hopefully know, I, Jim Dowd’s Pants the First, write the Previews for almost all of the Wild’s games throughout the season here at Hockey Wilderness. That means I have to predict things. Sometimes I’m right about a bunch of things in a row and feel like a hockey genius, and other times I’m dead wrong. After last night’s contest in Detroit, Minnesota clearly has some kinks to work out, and so does my hot take machine, which seems to be on the fritz just one day into the season.
