The Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule for the First Round has been released! The Minnesota Wild will, of course, battle the St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup Playoff First Round. But what we didn’t know until Sunday evening was “when.”
It’s been rumored that Minnesota will open the series at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, April 15th. With the playoff schedule going every other day, starting the series on Wednesday allows for Games 1 & 2 to be done before John Mayer takes over St. Paul on Saturday.
Also to note, because Television rules when scheduling, the Games will be the late 8:30 PM CT start as NBC airs Eastern Conference games before the Western Conference.
