SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Mike Modano, the No. 1 draft pick by the North Stars in 1988, said he's looking forward to returning to Minnesota this February to compete in the alumni game featuring ex-Minnesota players against ex-Chicago players, a friendly game that will lead to the Wild vs. Blackhawks outdoor game Feb. 21.
Modano, 45, is one of 19 former North Stars that will team up with seven former Wild players in the highly-anticipated Feb. 20 matchup at TCF Bank Stadium.
"I can't wait," Modano said. "I think we all can't wait just to get back together and see a lot of the familiar faces again, those guys that were part of my career when I first started.
