FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- As the NHL's second-busiest day of the summer approached, Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher insisted that trade talks involving his team have been quiet.
The first round of the NHL draft, held Friday, brings numerous trades every year, a flurry of activity matched only by the start of free agency July 1.
But with little cap space and a roster he has faith in, Fletcher said he doesn't expect to be a major player in trade talks.
"I like our team," Fletcher said.
