My Twitter acquaintance, Francesca Fontana, sent me a link to this interview Nino Niederreiter did last week with Philipp Bärtsch for the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The catch: it's in Swiss German. Thankfully, as a bilingual Islanders fan, Francesca has done some translation work before for our sister site, Lighthouse Hockey, and she agreed to translate this interview for us.
Regarding the translation, Francesca said:
Some passages sound a little awkward, but German is a language with complicated sentence structures and hard to translate idioms. Keep in mind that this is a paraphrase, not a literal translation.
