When Nesterenko was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 draft, expectations were far from consistent. However, even after having a solid post-draft year in the BCHL, it is highly unlikely that many predicted the noise he would make in his first year at Boston College. Jumping onto the scene with a roster packed with Wild draft picks, Nesterenko quickly earned the trust of Hall of Fame Coach Jerry York.
