The Minnesota Wild announced today that the Saint Paul Police Warrior Hockey Club will host the Chicago Police Hockey Stars in a scrimmage at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 at Xcel Energy Center. Later that night, the Minnesota Wild will take on its division rival, the Chicago Blackhawks, at 7 p.m. in Saint Paul.
The two police teams have been looking to schedule a matchup for some time, and the Wild-Blackhawks date proved to be the perfect fit. They will be coached by 1980 “Miracle on Ice” teammates Neal Broten and Dave Christian. Broten, also a legendary Minnesota North Star, will coach the Saint Paul Police Warriors.
