Entering 2018-19, the Minnesota Wild were still smarting from yet another disappointing early playoff exit. Despite a front-office shakeup in May that saw Paul Fenton replace Chuck Fletcher as general manager, they made no significant offseason roster changes.
So far, the Wild are off to a good start to this season. With 12 wins in 21 games for 26 points, they're challenging the Nashville Predators for the top spot in the Central Division. Whether they can maintain this pace throughout the rest of the season, however, remains to be seen.
