Minnesota Wild: Jordan Greenway should stay on the first line

Jordan Greenway is perhaps the Minnesota Wild‘s top rookie this year, and Thursday’s performance showed that he definitely has more to offer than what he had produced through the first 2 games.

Greenway opened the year centering the third line between Joel Eriksson Ek and Charlie Coyle. Entering Thursday against Chicago it was Eriksson Ek who had practiced to be on the top line, and he did.

With Eriksson Ek promoted, Greenway started the game centering the new pairing of Coyle and Nino Niederreiter. On paper, a big line with a ton of power, and it did look like this line was producing slightly better with Niederreiter than it had with Eriksson Ek.
