The Minnesota Wild are the Volkswagen Beetle of the NHL. They’ve basically stayed the same for decades, and while there are people who are genuinely fond of what they have to offer, the general public accepts them for what they are and doesn’t expect that they will ever change.
Last spring, the Wild did what they usually do, exiting in the first round of the playoffs. It’s what they’ve done the last three springs and five times since 2007.
