Vikings stadium staff grows with assistant GM addition

The new Vikings stadium is adding a longtime stadium manager and booking executive as assistant general manager.

Jerry Goldman, a St. Louis native, was most recently general manager of the Nassau Coliseum, former home of the New York Islanders. He also has managed building schedules for the San Antonio Spurs, Tulsa Shock and a number of other franchises.

His responsibilities will include managing U.S. Bank Stadium, planning special events, and negotiating contracts with vendors, promoters and tenants. The stadium is scheduled to open next summer.

The stadium's general manager is Patrick Talty. The publicly owned facility is managed by Pennsylvania-based company SMG.
