The Minnesota Vikings need to figure out the quarterback position this offseason, and regardless of whether that means Kirk Cousins is back in purple, there needs to be a succession plan for the position. Finding a rookie in a deep draft makes sense, but if it’s the one developing a lot of steam, a second-round pick would be a much better allocation of draft capital.
Vikings Should Look to 2nd Round for Certain QB
At this point, there is no way Minnesota will be in a position to select Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, or Drake Maye. Those quarterbacks are all set to go within the first three picks of April’s NFL draft, and unless the Vikings mortgage the farm to move up from the 11th pick, all of those players are a far-fetched dream.
