Vikings run out of magic as season ends in 31-24 home playoff loss to Giants

It was the wrong time for the Vikings to lose their first one-score game of the season. Their charmed season — with a 13-4 record, an NFC North title and an NFL-record 11 one-score wins — came to end with a 31-24 loss to the New York Giants in a wild-card playoff game Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Vikings defense could not stop quarterback Daniel Jones and the Giants for most of the day, giving up 433 yards. And the Vikings offense ultimately couldn't keep up.

The Vikings got the ball down by 7 with just under three minutes left at their own 12.
