Vikings run game goes into attack mode against Cardinals

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator John DeFilippo carried an aggressive mindset into the game against the Arizona Cardinals.

"We are in attack mode all the time," DeFilippo said this week. "We are staying aggressive and staying in attack. But at the same time, being smart about it."

DeFilippo held true to that approach on Sunday during a 27-17 win, turning around a once-explosive run game that had toppled to the bottom of the NFL. After relying on Kirk Cousins to generate a prolific passing attack through the first five weeks of the season with little help from Minnesota's running back, the Vikings run game finally broke through with a season-best 195 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
