Scott Kuhn has been named Director of Analytics/Pro Scout as he prepares for his 10th season with the team. He originally joined the Vikings in 2007 as a pro scout.
Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman created the Director of Analytics position after recognizing the role that advanced metrics can play as another tool to guide decisions.
Spielman said Kuhn will oversee analytics in all areas of football operations. Spielman said the amount of data available has grown substantially, and so has the importance of utilizing this information.
“Scott’s aptitude to analyze the tremendous amount of data that is available to us today will be a huge benefit for all of our football operations,” Spielman said.
