NFL Network’s “The Insiders” think that Sam Darnold will be the Vikings’ starting quarterback, so long as he doesn't mess it up. The consensus across the board from the insiders is that Sam Darnold will be the week one starter, but Ian Rapoport thinks that Darnold will look better in camp than he’ll actually perform on the field, based on Darnold’s past experiences. This could open the door for JJ McCarthy to start earlier in the season.
