Vikings negotiate contract extension with Adam Thielen

The Minnesota Vikings and wide receiver Adam Thielen agreed to a 4-year, $64 million contract extension. There are incentives that could increase his salary to $73 million. The Detroit Lakes, MN., native will be a Viking through the 2024 season.

Ian Rapoport reported Thielen will receive a guaranteed $35 million. Thielen was set to be a free agent in 2020 before his contract extension.

The two-time pro bowler will enter his sixth season in the NFL and with the Vikings. Thielen reeled in 113 receptions for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns last season.
