Vikings lose to Bengals 27-24 in overtime after blowing fourth-quarter lead

CINCINNATI — Evan McPherson kicked a 29-yard field goal with about three minutes left in overtime to give the Bengals a 27-24 win Saturday in a game the Vikings led 17-3 entering the fourth quarter.

The Vikings failed to get a first down on two attempts with inches to go from their own 49 on their first overtime possession, and then Jake Browning converted a third and 9 under heavy pressure for 44 yards to Tyler Boyd to get the Bengals in field goal territory to win the game.

The Vikings (7-7) were starting their fourth starting quarterback of the season, but all of them have found themselves in tight games decided late.
