After Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy, Sam Howell, and Brett Rypien all got their shots to play in Saturday's preseason win over the Houston Texans, Max Brosmer entered the game midway through the fourth quarter for the purple and gold.
In his first-ever NFL in-game action, Brosmer made a number of impressive plays in front of a crowd inside U.S. Bank Stadium that used to cheer him on down the road less than a year ago during his final college season at the University of Minnesota.
The former Golden Gopher immediately led the Vikings on a scoring drive once he took over under center, which was capped off by the rookie quarterback throwing a three-yard touchdown during a 4th-and-goal situation from Houston's three-yard line.
