Through the first six weeks of this 2025 campaign, the Minnesota Vikings were one of the top teams in the NFL in defending the pass, holding opposing offenses to an average of 157.6 net pass yards per contest.
This past Sunday, however, the Vikes were exposed something fierce in a 28-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, allowing Jalen Hurts to complete 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions en route to earning a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Yes, Minnesota sacked him three times to take 10 yards off the final figure, but the 316 total passing yards allowed were easily the most this season and marked the first time any team had even surpassed the 200-yard mark.
