MANKATO, Minn. -- Three practices are a small sample size, but baby steps matter for Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, who is on notice during his third season to establish his NFL bona fides.
"I don't know that he's turned a corner yet, but he's definitely rounding one," coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday.
Zimmer said Patterson has responded to the challenge of improving his dynamic skill set and establishing himself as a reliable option in a crowded receiving corps.
Patterson's regression from 2013 playmaker to 2014 part-timer was troubling on a team that banked on the speedy kick returner developing into its top receiver.
