Vikings running back Adrian Peterson turned heads last weekend when he called himself the LeBron James of the NFL. On Tuesday, he sought to clarify what he meant.
In a sideline interview during a 20-12 exhibition win over Oakland, Peterson was told that Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles recently called himself the "LeBron of football.'' Peterson countered that he is "the LeBron James."
Social media had a field day with Peterson's assertion.
The running back said Tuesday he wasn't trying to brag, but rather was comparing some unique abilities he believes he shares with the NBA star.
